heh. blogging time! today had its ups and downs.
Early morning, i ran into the bathroom and frantically tried to arrange my hair but in vain. It was no good. My horrible fringe flopped unabashedly down my forehead, and i knew Bad Hair Day was here to stay.
In school, i took the long route to the classroom whereby there is a washroom in between, hoping to pop in and fix my hair a little before i step into class.. But damn suay. I should have known i would bump into my classmates in the washroom. Wenwei, deborah and peiyun saw me, then they pointed and laughed. =.=
And that's the kind of reaction i pretty much got for the rest of the day, from everyone else. I stepped into the classroom, and the whole world gaped at me. Some even let out very audible gasps of horror. Thanks guys. Deborah even pointed out that it looked like the hairdresser
cut my fringe according to the shape of my brows.Horrified, i recalled Sunday's events...
I was sitting before the mirror, with the hairdresser behind me, ready to get my fringe.
"Eh! But my school hoh, touch eyebrows will book leh!"
"Hah?! Isit! Why only your school so weird one.." Then she went on and on about how fugly a fringe would look, if its above the brows.
So, after much contemplation, i distinctly recall myself telling her EXPLICITLY ABOUT THREE TO FOUR TIMES to
cut it the touch-eyebrow way. I did loh!
But i dont know why.. She still kept on telling me about how fugly looking the short fringe would look. That's why i kept repeating to her i wanted the long one. I think its maybe 'cause my mum was around, and she was afraid that my mum would scold her if she helped me cut a hairstyle that disobeyed my school rules.
Anyway, she was cutting my fringe, then she said, "Ehh, cannot cut straight straight one.. Straight then not nice.. " =.= And i stupidly nodded my head. What to do?! I first time cut ok! How i know!
Then later i noted that the fringe seemed kinda short. It didnt touch my brows, and looked a little weird.
"Because i blow your hair mah, then your fringe the top bulge out.. so it seems shorter.."
Bullshit. When i realised this morning that Deborah was right about the M-shaped fringe, i freaked. Damnit lah, wahlau next time don't go there liao. I hate people like her. Just because i'm a kid, she feels she doesn't have to view me as a proper customer. And don't respect what i want. Whatever loh, that's the last you'll see of me.
Anyway, back to school. Everyone laugh laugh laugh loh. Fringe very funny meh. After laughing, the ones
with a conscience would come up to me and say in a half-convincing tone "Eh, but very cute! Like china doll/ look like this cartoon baby elephant / got the the letter M.."
Sigh. So it was tremendously comforting to once in a while get something like "You look ok lah! Its not that bad!"
But just so you know, i never regretted getting the cut. I think i'm just gonna leave it this way, and let it grow. I mean, if everyone thinks that their current hairstyle suits them best and refuse to try out new styles, or are afraid of change because one might get a haircut that turns out hideous.. Well, wouldn't that be sooo boring? Personally, i've gone through great hair and horrid hair. Just look at my sec two and sec three pics will have you marvelling at the differences. I looked like a transexual lah! So i don't really care whether my current hair doesn't look as good as the previous. I've been able to get a proper fringe the way i want it (not that my current fringe is ideal..) and i am determined for it to stay. Change is not always bad. :)
